3D TV not a big hit in Homes

The pubs and theaters around UK might be showing the best of live entertainment and sports on 3D screens, which are pulling huge crowds. The craze of 3D is at peak currently, people just cannot get over the real life like effect of 3D but it looks like the fad and the excitement is yet to catch up in the homes. People are still thinking whether or not to bring home the 3D Television.

The 3D TV has limited audience and takers as of now. Maximum content shown in 3D is sports and action films at the most. A high number of people love watching both of these but there are many more who wish they could watch a lot more on the 3D screen.

Women to a large extent do not have much interest in these TVs as they have not yet been able to see any of their type of content be it lifestyle, fashion, cookery shows etc. When buying a TV set for home, it is made sure that it caters to the taste of every family member. But 3D TV Technology does not serve the purpose. The lack of 3D content has restricted its fan following which has resulted in less sales.

A research conducted by Deloitte supports this even more. The study asked people some questions related to 3D TV out of which 83% said they would not buy a TV just because it was 3D capable, it needs to have more. 60% said they would not think of paying such high price for a 3D TV. Whereas 21% agreed that they would consider paying upto 10% more for the 3D TV.

Not the content but the cost factor too is a major reason for the 3D TV Sets to stay out of UK Homes.
